“You are amazing I love them!! Me and Brad are in awe.

Absolutely love them. Especially the kids I love being able to see their personalities in the photos.”

A lot of people start off feeling the same way.

They’re worried they’ll be awkward. They’re worried the kids won’t cooperate. They’re worried they won’t know what to do.

That’s normal.

You do not need to turn up knowing how to pose or what to do in front of a camera. You don’t need to turn up with a plan. That’s where I come in.

Family & Couple Photography

A family shoot can feel like a mission before it even begins.

You’re trying to get everyone dressed, packed, out the door and still speaking to each other by the time you arrive. Then once the camera comes out, there’s always that little question in the back of your mind about whether the kids are actually going to go with it.

Thankfully, it does not need to be perfect.

I’ll step in where needed, work with whatever’s happening on the day, and focus on giving you photos that feel true to your family as it is right now.

Wedding Photography

Weddings move quickly, and there is a lot happening.

Good wedding photography is not just about getting good images. It is about staying calm, knowing when to step in, and knowing when to let things unfold.

My approach is relaxed, organised, and people-focused. I want your photos to capture the important moments, but I also want you to look back over your gallery and remember the little things you would otherwise have forgotten.

For couples who want:

  • A responsive photographer who is easy to deal with

  • Guidance, when needed, without you feeling controlled

  • To never feel like they’re asking too many questions

  • Photos that make you feel something

About Tim

Hi, I’m Tim!

I am a family and wedding photographer from Adelaide, South Australia.

I’m husband to Alysha - my number one supporter - and father to two perfect (in my entirely unbiased opinion) little boys. By day I am a lawyer, and at all other times I am shooting, editing, or enjoying some time with the family.

Why do I do this? I just bloody love it. I love taking photos, I love capturing this special stage of life, and I love meeting you.

I can’t wait to hear from you.

Cheers,

Tim

Family Photography FAQs

  • For my forest and coastal locations, I usually recommend sticking to a neutral or earthy colour palette and avoiding intense patterns.

That said, the most important thing is that you still feel like yourselves. I’d rather you wear something that suits you and works well together than force everyone into outfits that feel strange. Once you book, I’m happy to give guidance.

  • Usually, less is more.

For most shoots, a small bag with your phone, keys, water, and anything the kids may need is plenty. For little ones, snacks and a spare change of clothes are never a bad idea.

  • Yes.

A lot of people feel awkward at the start, which is completely normal. I usually begin with a bit more direction to help people settle in, then adjust from there depending on how the shoot is going.

You will not be left trying to work it out on your own.

  • Kids? Cooperate? Don’t be silly!

In all seriousness, that is very common, and it’s not an issue.

Kids are kids. They get distracted, tired, upset and hungry, and they might simply decide they are not that interested. I expect that, and I work with it.

  • My usual turnaround time is around 1 to 2 weeks.

At busier times it can take a little longer, but I’ll always keep you updated.

  • Yes, I do.

They make a great gift for families, new parents, or anyone who has been talking about organising photos and just has not got around to it yet. Send me a message and I can organise one for you.

  • Yes.

I always want clients to feel comfortable, and I completely understand that some people prefer to keep things private. You will have a chance to opt-in or opt-out when booking.

  • Most of my shoots take place in and around Adelaide, particularly through the southern suburbs. I also offer at-home sessions.

If you already have a location in mind, feel free to mention it when you enquire.
